There have been some rumors floating around about a
new Lenovo tablet being released in the near future. Thanks to some FCC
documents, we have learned a little bit about this device and just
recently we discovered even more thanks to the Google Play Developer
Console Device Catalog. It’s unclear what the company will call the
smartphone as the Google Play Developer Console Device Catalog has it
labeled as the Lenovo Tab V7, but some are speculating that it could be
marketed as the Lenovo Phab 3.
As far as FCC documents are concerned, we know there will be two
different versions of this upcoming device. One will have the model
number PB-6505M while the other will carry the model number PB-6505MC.
Thanks to the discovery of the FCC documents by Nashville Chatter,
we get this little mockup of what the back of the device looks like
along with its dimensions. The FCC says we’re looking at a device that
is 178mm tall, 86mm wide, and has a diagonal length of 198mm. They also
tell us the device will have a 5,180mAh capacity battery and will launch
with Android Pie.

Now that we know what the model number of at least one of the devices
will be, we went digging through the Google Play Developer Console
Device Catalog and found the information shown below. It labels the
device as the Lenovo Tab V7 and reveals some of the specs that we should
expect it to have. At least as far as the PB-6505M is concerned, the
catalog is telling us it’s going to have a phone form factor, include
3GB of RAM, and have an 18:9 display with 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution.
It’s also not expected to be a powerful device with its lower
mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. Again, it’s unclear exactly
what Lenovo will be calling this device when it officially launches. But
this does give Lenovo fans who want to know what they should expect
from them in the future a taste of what is to come.
